Pre-Production: Creative Resources

Script

Though the majority of my documentary is unscripted, I still had to write up a script for directions and for a basic idea of what would be happening during each scene in my project. I aim to give this script to all of the contributors in my documentary, even if it is just their section that I give them, so they have a basic idea of what they will be doing.

Storyboard

Alongside the script, I also drew up a storyboard of my ideas so that I could visualize my ideas better, as well as shot types and camera movements, to name a few.

With this finished script and storyboard I was able to fully visualize all of my ideas for this project, and was also able to move onto the logistic aspects of pre-production, including risk assessments and location scouting.
